A Peek Into My Maternity Model Calls

So, you scored a model call! WooHoo! Now let the fun begin!

First, we will discuss the time and day that is going to work. If we are using a studio this may already be decided and we will just confirm that you are available. If we are planning an outdoor shoot it will most likely be around “gold hour”, the hour before sunset.

I will send over a contract and we will then discuss wardrobe. Usually, for a model call, I have a vision in mind. This doesn’t mean I won’t take your input, I want you to love the images as much as I do in the end! But, I will likely direct you in what to wear and what to bring with you. I will often have a dress or two that I bring as well so I can get updated photos for dresses I already have in my client closet.

Then its go time! I will reach out and confirm that you are ready for our session between 24-48hrs before. The day of is usually LOTS of fun and laughter. I want you to be comfortable, I know being in front of the camera can feel weird. So, if we do a pose that just feels awkward we laugh our way through it and move on! Sometimes those silly ones become my absolute FAVORITE. When your genuine smile shines through and a little bit of “you” shows up in my image, that’s when I know we have reached our goal!

Here are a few examples from my most recent model call!
