Hi! I’m Erica, I currently serve Rhode Island mums who dream of gorgeous photos with their babies so they can look back on this moment and remember just how tiny they once were.

I have my bachelors degree in Nursing and received my RN. I have DONA training in Postpartum Doula care. I am currently working on becoming a Birth Arts International Birth Doula. I am a military wife, I’ve been married to my best friend for the past 13 years. He’s my rock and my biggest cheerleader! I am a mother to our 4 children, Madeline, Everett, Colin, and Beckham. I have been homeschooling for the past couple of years. I truly love motherhood and all that it entails.

I have always been drawn to gorgeous photos and wanted to capture my own children in that light. When my daughter was born in 2013 I started playing with a more professional camera. In 2020 after the birth of our 3rd child I upgraded my gear and I invested in some true photography training. Since then I have continued to invest in my education and strive to learn something each and every time I pick up my camera!

More about Erica

In my free time I love to…

Run, attend yoga classes, read, chat with a friend over a cup of coffee, go thrift shopping, or knitting. Ask me about the newborn set I knit just for my client’s to use! It’s currently featured on my homepage ;) I love homeschooling our 4 children and traveling as much as we can as a family. Being a military family means we have had the amazing opportunity to live and experience so many wonderful places!

If I had unlimited funds you could find me…

Shopping at Anthropology and purchasing anything from Joanna Gains. I would be traveling every spare moment. The world is so big and I just want to see it ALL! Once I was satisfied with all that, I would start up my own mothering practice. This would include midwives, doulas, birth photographers, chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists, pelvic floor therapists, and baby wearing specialists. It would be the most loving and beautiful space to come be taken care of <3

Types of birth I have had…

1 cesarean section (in WA state)

A homebirth after cesarean that ended with a transfer for delivery of my placenta (HBAC, in VA)

A water birth, homebirth (in England, UK)

And an unassisted (accidentally), next to my bed, homebirth! (in OH)

I’ve also endured 5 losses, 1 being a ruptured ectopic. I have a soft spot for all the rainbow babies out there.
